FAQ

Legacy Solutions locates unclaimed funds that cannot be found using government unclaimed webpage searches. Hiring your own experienced staff and attorneys to recover your unclaimed funds can require upfront costs and breed uncertainty. Leave this up to the professionals, who guarantee that you will not incur upfront costs and owe nothing if no recovery can be made.

Legacy Solutions spends its time and money and uses state-of-the-art technology, in addition to the talents of highly skilled and trained professionals to identify this proprietary information. This information is not released.

There is no upfront cost to you. We are paid only if we are successful in obtaining the unclaimed funds for you and only as contractually agreed between us. In the event we cannot recovery your unclaimed funds, you owe us nothing. Upon recovery of your unclaimed funds, we receive our contractual percentage as our commission. This amount depends on the total amount that is recovered on your behalf. Our commission is deducted from that amount. All payment comes from recovered funds. Again, if we don’t make a recovery, you owe us nothing.

If you want us to recover your funds for you, sign the agreement and authorization and have them notarized and mail the originals or deliver them to our office. You may schedule an appointment and have the documents notarized at no cost. If arranging a meeting at our office is difficult or impossible, you may visit your local notary or arrange for our notary to meet with you at your location.

No, the agreement only applies to the amount stated in the agreement. If you are entitled to any additional unclaimed funds, we will contact you and send you a new agreement to sign.

You will be contacted by counsel and mailed the claim forms, if necessary, which may need to be notarized. Once the forms are completed, you will need to mail to originals to:

Legacy Solutions, LLC
201 St. Charles Ave., Ste. 114-377
New Orleans, LA 70170

We will need your full name, mailing address, telephone number, marital status, and in some circumstances, we will require information about your family history. Counsel will require your social security number. This is used to issue a 1099-MISC form so that your recovered assets can be properly reported to the IRS during tax season. Your check will not be issued to you without us first obtaining your social security number. We must accurately report to the IRS all monies paid to you from our company. Your information is confidential and it will never be shared with third parties outside the scope of your representation.

The average time to receive your funds is three to six months, however, in some instances, you can receive your funds much sooner.
